The New Year is upon us and it's looking to be a very promising one for music. I've already heard impressive albums from Surfer Blood, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Los Campesinos!, Owen Pallett, and Spoon and there are some HUGE releases on the horizon including prolific names like LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, and Radiohead. There is plenty to get excited about and lots of music to hear; so without further ado, I bring you another rundown of the best tracks circulating the internet. This time we have a really diverse list of tracks including a previously unreleased song from one of my all time favorite artists (Elliott Smith), a decent new track from a band that was one of my favorites (The Smashing Pumpkins), and some new artists who are making their way into my favorites. yo dave. some good shit in here; despite my love of elliott smith i think that song is far too overproduced, not really my thing. but daaaaamn, your watch section has some serious shit in it. junior boys was awesome, and the ramona falls thing was fucking intense- did NOT see that coming. great song, too. swell season also decent song.

just out of curiosity, care to comment more about amanda/cecilia? i find some of the added music confusing.. im no music expert but there is some shawarmy sound which mixes up the guitar in my ear. you know im addicted to smith like he was addicted to crack, but.. meh. wasnt too huge a fan of new moon either, and i dont mean the twilight sequel. it had some ok songs, nothing that really did it for me like roman candle.
too bad about missing dillinger escape plan. did you happen to check out house vs. hurricane? id love to hear a preview of their new album *nudge nudge*
