Beyoncé and Jay-Z into Grizzly Bear and now she has emerged with a cover of the Dirty Projectors song "Stillness is the Move" from their incredible 2009 album Bitte Orca. Unfortunately, Universal Records had requested that it be taken down. It's a shame because the track is pretty damn cool. Solange has done an excellent job of bringing out the R&B influence that was prevalent in the original. Both are not without their own unique charms. Since most people would benefit hearing each track, I'm including a link to hers as well as a stream of the original version. Also, here is her response to the song being taken down via@solangeknowles:
"So fucking crazy universal has been taking down a COVER that I'm NOT selling or trying to publish. Never heard of that shit in my life! Not to mention Dirty Projectors, LOVED the cover& all parties are happy Doesn't Lil Wayne a Universal artist rap over other folks records?"

Further proof of my declaration that Solange is a hipster comes in the form of "This Bird" from her debut Sol-Angel & The Hadley St. Dreams which is driven by a Boards of Canada sample. She definitely has a distinctive take on pop music and you can check it out for yourself below. Makes you wonder which sister is the more talented one…
